Flooding

Flooding has been a problem of the Philippines for a very long time like the times of habagat and ondoy. Flooding also affects others countries like America and the recent Frankenstorm Sandy. Flooding causes deaths and the lost of homes and jobs. It also leads to oil spills which can lead to fish kills which leads to starvation of people who rely of aquatic resources. This can also lead to illness like the contaminated flood water of the dengue caring mosquitoes that lay eggs at stagnate water. Stopping his is quite easy but because of the status of us and the poor care some people who throw trash and the ground that clogs drainage systems which is one cause of floods. Another reason is large cites because of its low number of plants and more concrete, unbalancing the modern structures and plants may lead to floods like Manila which lack trees to absorb rain water. Prevention of floods can be done by strict no littering fines, more people cleaning the street or people who can just simply put trash in their pocket and more plants.
